The short version: we use what you give us to scan your site, answer you, and follow up. We don't sell it. Ad and analytics cookies wait for your yes.
Who we are
Crunch Geek Inc. ("we", "us") runs smart.ad. Questions about this policy go to ping@smart.ad.
What we collect
- The website you scan. We read its public pages, the same as any visitor, and store the results so you can reopen your report.
- Your email, if you ask us to send the report or leave your details.
- What you tell us in the contact form: name, email, website, and rough ad spend.
- Your chat with Pebble. Messages are stored so a specialist can pick up where Pebble left off.
- Technical data. To stop abuse we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, never the address itself, for a short time. Our security check (reCAPTCHA) looks at your browser to confirm you're a person.
- Usage data, only if you allow analytics cookies: pages you view and buttons you use, without your name, email, or chat text.
How we use it
- To run your scan and send your report.
- To answer questions, prepare an account audit, and follow up when you ask us to.
- To keep the service safe and within fair limits.
- To learn which pages and posts help people, if you allow analytics.
AI
Pebble is an AI assistant. Your chat messages and scan results are processed by AI models running on our cloud provider to write replies and summaries. They aren't used to train those models.
Who else sees it
We don't sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run smart.ad:
- Cloud hosting and database (Google Cloud and Firebase), where the site, your scans, and chats live.
- Email delivery, to send your report.
- Search data providers, which tell us who bids on your business name. They receive your domain, not you.
- Google Analytics, only with your consent.
- The specialists who run ads for our clients, when you ask for an audit or management.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Your Google Ads account
For an audit we ask for read-only access through a manager account link that you approve inside Google Ads. We never ask for your password, and you can remove the link at any time.
How long we keep it
- Scan reports: 90 days.
- Abuse-prevention records: minutes to a day.
- Chats, leads, and emails: while we're working with you, or until you ask us to delete them.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site and your choices working. Analytics and advertising cookies are off until you turn them on. Change your cookie settings any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email ping@smart.ad and we'll reply within 30 days.
Children
smart.ad is for businesses. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, if you're a client, email you.
